During her 1L year of law school at St. Thomas, Madison helped co-found the Business and Corporate Law Society and she was active in the Women Law Students Association. Outside of law school, Madison volunteers with LegalCORPS, a Minnesota nonprofit organization that assists low-income small business owners with business law matters. Prior to law school, Madison received her undergraduate degree in history from Baylor University in Waco, Texas. At Baylor, Madison was in Student Government, the Pre-Law Society, and the Pi Beta Phi sorority, where she served as the Philanthropy Chair. In her free time, Madison enjoys playing tennis, doing yoga, and trying new restaurants in the Twin Cities.
Twin Cities Diversity in Practice is a non-profit association of law firms and corporate legal departments. TCDIP’s mission is to support its members as they attract, recruit, advance, and retain attorneys of color in the Twin Cities legal community. The 1L Summer Rotation Clerkship aims to promote the Twin Cities legal community to 1L students of color who are historically underrepresented in the legal profession, and who are interested in exploring a legal career here. During their rotation, summer clerks receive feedback, coaching, and mentoring from top private practice and in-house attorneys.
