Larson • King Successful in Defense of Wrongful Death Medical Negligence Trial

Attorneys Mark Solheim and Tony Novak successfully defended an emergency room physician in a wrongful death action tried before a jury in Wilkin County, Minnesota. The Plaintiffs alleged that the firm’s client deviated from the standard of care in her diagnosis and referral of the patient and sought a seven-figure damage award. The jury considered extensive expert evidence related to cardiac presentation and the role of an emergency room physician. The jury returned a verdict in favor of the physician finding that there had been no negligence in the care and treatment provided.
