On February 12, 2015, Judge Patrick J. Schiltz of the District of Minnesota granted a motion for summary judgment brought by Larson King attorneys Mark Solheim and Tony Novak on behalf of its client. In this commercial dispute, the Plaintiff corporation asserted a series of allegations arising out of a decade-long relationship between the parties involving the leasing and refinancing of several high-end commercial motor coaches. Plaintiff sought approximately $5M in damages. Larson • King, working closely with its client’s internal legal and business team, identified and produced evidence that specifically rebutted Plaintiff’s series of complex allegations. The Court rejected Plaintiff’s claimed breaches of the underlying lease documents, and further found that the claims required expert testimony that Plaintiff could not produce. The Court also dismissed Plaintiff’s remaining claims as dependent on the contract claim.
