Iosif V. Sorokin has joined the firm as an Associate. He focuses his practice in the areas of immigration, labor and employment, and business litigation. Iosif helps employers obtain work authorization for their employees and comply with federal immigration laws. He also advises individuals who want to sponsor themselves or their family members for immigration status in the US.
As an immigrant himself (originally from Baku, Azerbaijan), Iosif believes in taking the time to truly understand his clients’ backgrounds, in order to help them achieve their goals in a personalized and compassionate way. He represents clients all around the country, as well as outside of the US.
Before joining Larson • King, Iosif worked at a large Minneapolis law firm, where he counseled national healthcare organizations, academic institutions, multinational companies and small businesses on immigration matters.
Iosif received his J.D. from the University of California Berkeley School of Law, where he served as an Associate Editor of the Berkeley Journal of International Law, and earned a Certificate of Specialization in International Law. He received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Carleton College
