Outside of the legal world, Larson • King supports diversity initiatives in the broader community, through partnerships with organizations who have made it their mission to improve the quality of life in communities they serve.
“It’s more than just a cookie.”
One of our favorite community partnerships is that with a nonprofit called Cookie Cart. Cookie Cart provides Twin Cities teens ages 15 to 18 with lasting and meaningful work, life, and leadership skills, through employment and training in nonprofit cookie bakeries. Cookie Cart expanded its operations into Larson • King’s hometown of St. Paul in 2018 with the opening of a bakery on Payne Avenue.
Following it’s expansion into St. Paul, Cookie Cart launched its Growing for Good campaign, a $2 million investment campaign designed to position Cookie Cart as a sustainable economic contributor to the next generation of Twin Cities youth in the workforce.
Campaign contributions will fund youth development and leadership, including adjustment of youth wages to align with living wage guidelines and advanced leadership positions; infrastructure for the organization, including IT, system processes, and improved bakery efficiencies; and sales and marketing to guide the social enterprise arm of Cookie Cart.
We provided a financial contribution to the Growing for Good campaign, because we believe in Cookie Cart’s strategic investment in youth development and leadership.
With Larson • King’s contribution, Cookie Cart has raised $1,601,117 towards its $2,000,000 goal, to date.
