John focuses his practice on complex insurance coverage disputes. He has a diverse insurance practice and provides strategic recommendations and advice to clients and attorneys across the country. John has extensive experience litigating insurance coverage disputes in state and federal court. John also has an active appellate practice and has successfully argued cases before the Minnesota Court of Appeals, Minnesota Supreme Court and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.
John received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, where he was a member of the varsity hockey team. He is an honors graduate from the University of North Dakota School of Law. As a practicing lawyer, John is a member of the American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, and Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association. He is past chair of the ABA’s Tort and Insurance Practice Section’s Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee.
