Annika practices in the areas of products liability, commercial litigation, and employment litigation.
Prior to joining Larson • King, Annika was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Edward Wahl in the Fourth Judicial District of Minnesota. During her clerkship, Annika oversaw numerous bench and jury trials and drafted opinions on a range of complex civil litigation topics, evidentiary issues, and discovery disputes.
Annika brings a unique perspective to her practice due to her former career in legislative politics. Before law school, Annika served for six years as the Chief of Staff to a Wisconsin legislator, in which she managed policy development, press communications, and constituent relations in a fast-paced office. Annika’s leadership roles included working for the 2015-2016 Assistant Minority Leader and staffing the 2017-2018 Joint Committee on Finance.
Annika believes that the key to success in litigation is conveying a clear and persuasive message. Annika credits her time in the legislature with developing her ability to distill and communicate complex topics to a variety of audiences.
Annika earned her J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School. In law school, Annika was a student director of the Insurance Law Clinic, where she represented clients in all stages of insurance claims and disputes. Annika also clerked for two years at a Wisconsin-based bankruptcy and commercial litigation firm. In her final semester of law school, Annika was a judicial extern to the Honorable Thomas Fraser in the Fourth Judicial District of Minnesota.
Annika earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Outside of her practice, Annika enjoys traveling, watching football, decorating cakes, and spending time with her family and her dog, Jordy. Annika is a native German speaker.
