Samuel H. J. Schultz has joined Larson • King, and focuses his practice on business litigation, class actions, antitrust and unfair competition, and professional liability. Before joining Larson • King, Sam served two terms in a Judicial Clerkship at the Minnesota Court of Appeals with the Honorable Judges Louise Dovre Bjorkman, Francis Connolly, and Michelle Larkin.
From his time as a judicial law clerk, Sam gained valuable insight into judicial decision-making, as well as extensive experience in analyzing and deciding issues in complex litigation.
Sam graduated law school fourth in his class, summa cum laude, from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota. While studying at Mitchell Hamline, Sam served on the Board of the Mitchell Hamline Law Review as a Managing Editor. Sam also competed for Mitchell Hamline in the 2019-20 ABA Negotiation Competition, earning a spot as a finalist at the regional competition.
Sam earned his B.A. magna cum laude from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, where he double majored in English and Political Science and earned a minor in History. While at Luther, Sam was a varsity athlete on the football team and participated in multiple musical ensembles.
